Stakeholder Action Roundtable

June 11, 2026 | Ottawa
A curated national convening at a defining moment for Canada’s health economy

On June 11, Research Canada brought together 200 senior leaders from across government, industry, academia, healthcare, and civil society for a highly curated, in-person Stakeholder Action Roundtable in Ottawa.

Held at an important moment for Canada’s health economy, the Roundtable created space for focused discussion on the decisions, priorities, and collaborative action needed to strengthen Canada’s health research and innovation ecosystem.

This was not a traditional conference.

It was a discussion-driven forum designed to bring the right people together to exchange perspectives, identify shared priorities, and help shape what comes next.

Why This Moment Matters

In the months surrounding June 2026, a convergence of forces is reshaping Canada’s landscape:

  • Early positioning toward Budget 2026
  • The conclusion of the Pharmaceuticals and Life Sciences Task Force
  • The anticipated national AI strategy
  • New life sciences investment mechanisms and talent initiatives
  • Intensifying global pressures—from CUSMA renegotiations to drug pricing dynamics
Individually, these signals are important.
Together, they create a moment that demands alignment.
